Garden Border Redesign in Leicestershire
Project Description
A sun-worshippers Garden in Lutterworth
The clients’ main priority was to be able to take advantage of summer sunshine to relax and sunbathe, and to enjoy cooking and dining in the garden with friends. I introduced pale smooth sandstone paving to give a warm, open seating and dining area. I also designed a separate area for a BBQ, but this has since been occupied by a really amazing hot tub. The planting is low maintenance, with a mass of white hydrangeas along the rear and a trio of Amelanchier canadensis trees offering height, privacy and a touch of shade to take the heat out of the sun trap!
A contemporary water feature adds sound and light to the garden, while clever screening hides bins
