A garden rescue in Warwickshire
Project Description
A traditional garden with curving walls in South Leicestershire
When I first visited this garden, there was very little in the way of open space near the house. The client wanted me to design a garden that increased the patio area and felt less claustrophobic. The end result is a flowing, curving design with a series of gentle steps leading from the generous lower terrace to the upper lawned area and a pergola that the client himself designed. The garden very much reflects the love the clients have for their garden, and each other, and is filled with character and memories. They are particularly fond of Acers, and so I created a special raised Acer bed for them to display the various potted specimens to full effect. The lawn was reshaped into a heart, a common theme through the garden, and lighting was added to highlight the trees and illuminate the lovely new walls and steps.
